notes:
 The ghost of Gram Parsons was spotted at the Country Kitchen;
a sizable crowd gathered outside.
They had their faces pressed up to the window.
One or two of the devout actually cried.

The ghost of Keith Richard was spotted at the Country Kitchen;
"Wait a minute!" he screamed. "I'm not dead."
The crowd broke into "Sympathy for the Devil,"
except the Beatles fan who sang, "I'll Cry Instead."

Am I destined to be a Ghost in the Desert?

"Why aren't the ghosts in heaven?" a little girl asked.
"What the hell are they doin' here?"
"Don't cuss," the little girl's mother scolded.
"And this is heaven right here."

We are species of indeterminate boundaries,
in a cosmic circle jerk.
Inside this facade of mundane affairs,
where are the Mysteries at work?"

Am I destined to be a Ghost in the Desert?
