notes:
 Kesey and his Pranksters.
Kerouac and the Beats.
Rednecks and their Jesus Christ
and the Knights who say 'Nee.'
We're all the same religion.
Were all the same device.
All of us, we're temporary.
Can't we all play nice?

I don't know where it's comin' from.
I don't know where it's goin'.
But I can hear it and I can smell it
and there's nothing I can do.

Jason and his Argonauts.
King Arthur and his knights.
General Electric and Westinghouse.
Brushstrokes in flight.
The KKK in their jammies,
full of ignorance and hate.
The emperor has new clothing,
let's get it straight.

I don't know where it's comin' from.
I don't know where it's goin'.
But I can hear it and I can smell it
and there's nothing I can do.

Arthur Dent and Fenchurch.
Romeo and Juliet.
Hitler and Mussolini.
Putin and his orange pet.
Who's piloting our spaceship
through the cold and empty void?
Someone grab the rudder...
