Heavy Music

notes:
Playing heavy music down by the rail yard in an old beer factory
abandoned for years you could scream loud as you please sounds of
the city the rumble and the horns the switches and gears
Playing warehouse shows on an industrial roads blinking street light
it banging on it all night
Wed kept it on the down low because its heavy music and
authorities are always trying to run it down
I could bottle up and go
Because Im caught up in a jam
I could slam dance to it
Nothing quite like
Getting psyched
To heavy music
We sang a heavy song without a thought or a prayer just layer upon
layer of heavy sonic air
Graffiti on the walls, windows and jackets you knew by design a kind
of dignified racket
You couldnt play a show without thick soled boots
Humping around the city with nothing to do
But think heavy music heavy thoughts heavy sound taking shows on
the road to other industrious towns
I could bottle up and go
Because I just dont know
How Im going to get through it
Dealing in the zone
Feeling less alone
With heavy music
GPS rerouting Im lost in construction dont know where Im going
got some bad blood flowing used to be I think where we put the
racket down around here now its going Mondo with cookie cutter
condos
Tent city living hard life on the scrounge the old heavy music space
is now a headphone lounge
People off tech busses unaware without a care just a self-help yelp
and its nowhere
Brick by brick
The citys getting slick
They took a power wash to it
Pricing me out
All I want to do is shout
Heavy music
I could bottle up and go
Because I just dont know
How Im going to get through it
Feel it in my bones
These undertones
Heavy music
Feel it in my bones
These undertones
Heavy music
