Here Come the Vegans

notes:
When I think of the damage I'm inflicting on the earth
By being alive
I don't know what to do or to whom I'm gonna turn
To apologize
With so many people living and breathing on earth
I feel part of the problem, a waste of good carbon since
birth
Should I try to go green when I'm in the mood for meat
Have salad instead
Get locally produced organic from a farm
And bake my own bread
I'm building a greenhouse, trapping the heat from the sun
It's all overwhelming, to think of the damage I've done
Well, here come the vegans
They're doing it right
An army of good guys
A comforting sight
With so many vegans
I hope they will balance me out.
When I think of the animals slaughtered in their prime
So I can eat well
I just wanna dig a hole and lay me down inside
I'm guilty as hell
With so many people living and breathing on earth
I feel part of the problem, a waste of good carbon since
birth
Well, here come the vegans
They're doing it right
An army of good guys
A comforting sight
With so many vegans
I hope they will balance me out.
