notes:
Look around what do your see?
A teen aged welcoming committee
What is real to you, to me
What does it mean? What do they see?
When you go down and see them folks
You try to drive into their yolks
You like to tell them lots of jokes
Down there on Harrison Street (on Harrison Street)
What is real to you, to me
What does it mean? What do they see?
Is it the same, the same as me?
On Harrison Street (on Harrison Street)
Empty headed empty minds
The new wave looking daily grind
I can't see yellow orange rind
Or maybe Florence, new Vogue kind
I think I know, you want don't show
The thoughts you drink the juice you drink
I'll scream outside to draw them near
The laugh the fear the fear the fear
On Harrison Street (Harrison Street)
Deep fry your potato in my ear
To come apart year after year
To seek tranquility in my fear
To run and hide year after year
Beat me out of me, animosity
Treat me out of me, oh lobotomy
Run away and come again
I'll counter in my reign and then
Got control of you once again
You've got control of me again
and running hiding in your fear
You go down there to drink some beer
and look out for for the folks you meet
On Harrison Street (Harrison Street)
Harrison Street (Harrison Street)
Her day begins her nerves of steel
like molten lava shattered she feels
like mercury and then she sweats
she takes her shower to look her best
She grabs her books and decides to walk
but halfway there she feels a balk
Walking wasn't such a good idea
Just too much time to think about the day
Look out when you go down here
Look out just to get some beer
Look out for the people that you meet
On Harrison Street (Harrison Street)
I see her around she talks to me
Yeah she's got personality
I met her on the corner three
Where she first spoke to me
See her with her friends, she stands out there stands out to me
She's only eighteen, she's packing heat Harrison Street
On Harrison street (Harrison street)
On Harrison Street (Harrison Street)
I am wood, I'm a tree, I am food, Look at me
Furniture, I am art, I am shelter, cut a fart
I am fuel I am strong versatile, right and wrong
I am weapons, I am tools, I am I am toys, I am fools
I am protection and support, durable behind the fort
I'm a tree yeah I am wood cut down abused
Look out for the people you meet on
When you go down to Harrison Street
My lungs are flooded take weight like bags
My eyes are itchy and I taste the raw stench, foul smell of death
It's yucky, Icky, phooey!
Go away tired, drained and illness wont vanish
I drink elixirs to make, vanish me sleep and
take horse pills to quell my fear drink some beer
On Harrison Street
Placebos to kill already dead infections in my ear
And I'm dizzy and delirious in my over populated head
What once contained thousands of simultaneous thoughts
Now has one giant ring
Whining in my space I'm cared for by everything, my friends
I cant figure out what exactly it is the doctor is saying or what he
is listening for when he says
"It doesn't sound like pneumonia"
Full moon fever I say. Full moon a tragic day
As a stranger takes a bullet in the leg outside my door on Harrison
Street
Harrison Street (Harrison Street)
Look around what do your see?
A teen aged welcoming committee
What is real to you, to me, What does it mean? What do they see?
Do we hear the same sounds?
Do we see the same colors?
Do we taste the same flavors ?
Do we feel the same emotions?
Do we smell the same aromas?
Do we dream the same dreams?
What does it mean?
I cant see my feet! It's dark outside above Harrison Street
Harrison Street (Harrison Street)
Harrison Street (Harrison Street)
Harrison Street (Harrison Street)
I can't hear! I can't feel the cocaine anymore!
Harrison Street (Harrison Street)
Harrison Street (Harrison Street)
Harrison Street (Harrison Street)
